"The Master of the Demon Dao" is a novel of Tanmei, fantasy and immortality created by the Chinese internet writer Mo Xiang Tong Chou (xiu). It will be serialized in Jinjiang Literature City from October 31, 2015 [1]. On March 1 of the following year, the main text was serialized. On January 1, 2018, the serialization of the extra-special chapter was completed. The full text is 658,978 words. Or 691364 words. On October 31, 2015, the day when the serialization began, Moxiang Tongxiang signed a regular "Authorization Letter" with Jinjiang Company, a subsidiary of Jinjiang Literature City, and also served as Party A with Party B Beijing Xinpai Media Co., Ltd. In December 2018, Sichuan Literature and Art Publishing House in Mainland China renamed the novel "Wuji" and published the first volume. The reason for the name change is unknown, or it is believed to be to prevent piracy [4]. Some authors commented that the novel is a "phenomenal work" in mainland China's danmei essays[5]. Since 2018, the novel has been adapted into radio dramas, animations, and TV dramas, all of which have become popular.
The novel focuses on the homosexuality between Wei Ying (Wei Wuxian) and Lan Zhan (Lan Wangji). The background of the story is set with hundreds of immortal families, focusing on the rise and fall of the five great families of Yunmengjiang, Gusu Lan, Lanling Jin, Qishan Wen, and Qinghe Nie, as well as the struggles between them. Among the five great families, Qishan Wen's family is the strongest. The family dominates and oppresses other families.
