In 1989, a jogger was assaulted and raped in New York's Central Park, and five young people were subsequently charged with the crime. The quintet, labeled the Central Park Five, maintained its innocence and spent years fighting the convictions, hoping to be exonerated. This limited series spans a quarter of a century, from when the teens are first questioned about the incident in the spring of 1989, going through their exoneration in 2002 and ultimately the settlement reached with the city of New York in 2014. The cast is full of Emmy nominees and winners, including

Heartbreaking but oh so well done !
I have never felt so many emotions watching a show...I was angry, sad, powerless ... I was not familiar with the central park 5 case and after the show I went searching about almost anything I could find which was related to the case. The cast was so mind blowing especially the actor who plays Corey...Such a wonderful performance. But again while watching the show, I felt every moment of it, every emotion as it was happening right there, right now... And to think that there are so many people wrongfully convicted because the justice system failed them is just infuriating ! I hope that this will shade some light on other cases hopefully...A must watch !

Amazing / unbelievable
I am only finished episode 2 but I felt colpelled to write a quick few words, This is so unbelievably disgusting what the police and other authorathy figures who are supposed to protect the innocent and bring justice to the wronged. Omg I am feeling so many emotions watching this, fear, sorry, empathy sympathy, hatred, shock and disgust, those poor children what they must have felt and the fear they must have gone through, so so sad. I loved the clip of the Donald (Trump) in episode one, no spoilers but you'll see what I mean when you watch it yourself, Excellent story telling excellent actors and brilliantly paced so far, I highly recommend this show to anyone and everyone especially those who enjot true crime stories, I don't remember this first hand, I am Irish and I do remember it being reported years later when they were fighting the conviction, anyway I'm gonna watch episode 3 now, well done N_FLIX another excellent show 👍 thank you.

Incredibly Moving, Sad, Disturbing but rewarding. A Must for Everyone
I heard about this series a few months ago but resisted watching it until because I knew it would be a difficult show to watch and was I right! Being from the UK I only knew a little of true story of the Central Park 5 so I wasn't fully prepared for the horrors that occurred to those poor innocent boys. The show doesn't talk about racism much but focuses on the criminal injustice and the affects on the five boys and their family. The acting across the board was incredible and so realistic and moved me to tears in each of the four episodes. Jharrel Jerome in particular gave an Oscar worthy performance as Korey Wise and was the only actor to play both the teenager part and the adult part. The saddest part is that this kind of injustice still exists in America and there are countless innocent people of all backgrounds and races who are victims of bad policing and the terrible justice system. Regardless, this is must watch TV and the best thing I've seen in decades.
